Missionaries to Costa Rica

Baptist Bible College

How short is our time of service for the Lord. How fast it passes. And how privileged we are to be able to see fruits of the 'long haul'. Of our 20 pastors, 3 have children that are college age and the three have a least one child studying in the Bible College and another one that has already graduated. Why? Because they have been called into fulltime service. Last week we had a special guest speaker, a graduate from the College that is pastoring the church he planted 5 years ago in Panama. In May two seminary graduates were sent by their local church here to serve for a year in Nicaragua assisting the missionary family Weed, working with the overwhelming response in the new church there. The seminary, our-seedbed of leaders, has been blessed tremendously over the years and thanks to the training received by dedicated pastors and staff we have great hopes for constant future advancement.

Mission in Los Santos

There is a town in the mountains called "Los Santos". Sunday a family in the church who have been traveling there every week to hold Bible studies, brought 5 of their new converts to be baptized. What a baptismal service that was! One of the ladies baptized was the teacher of the Catholic discipleship class, in her town. In her last class she was teaching the list of things you must to do to secure your salvation. Now that she knew the truth the conflict was too great and she turned in all her teaching materials and resigned. Her decision for Christ will bring painful consequences because the town is small and the townspeople are very Catholic and interdependent. Pray for her.

Cuban Missions

The Franklin family, missionaries to Cuba, invited Gerardo Cerdas, one of our pastors, and his wife, to spend 5 weeks with them. Their agenda includes officially organizing 2 churches, ordaining 2 young pastors and presenting Bible classes in the name of the Bible Baptist Church here in Costa Rica.

Please, continue working with us to share Christ,
