Dear Pastor and Friends,

A week before I returned to the States, I was in the services of the Bible Baptist
Church of Kabamet where Evans Abuta is the pastor. He had invited the people
of their mission church in Kapkiemo to attend the special services.
i have written in the past about Kapkiemo which is a mountainous area and
difficult to reach because the road has been roughly cut out of the side of the
mountains. A four-wheel drive vehicle has to use low gear when coming out of
the area to higher ground and a main road. At last report, the attendance in
Kapkiemo was 54 adults, 33 children and young people. This is amazing because
of the fact that they are meeting in the open air.
At this special meeting in Kabarnet, one woman stood to give a testimony. She is
a woman of little education and older looking because of the difficulties of life in
such an area. As she spoke for about ten minutes, the people listened with rapt
attention. She told how the new mission and services brought blessing to the area
through the accurate teachings of the Bible and people were being saved and lives
changed. She rejoiced over being able to hear the truth of the Word because the
area was filled with false teachings, Animism, and Satanic fear. She expressed
encouragement over the fact that they had received some help from a church in
America to purchase a small piece of land for a place to build. When she finished
the people broke out with "Amens" and clapping to confirm their agreement of
how the Lord is blessing them corporately and individually.
I was blessed and stirred in my soul thanking God that he had allowed me to be a
part in reaching this remote area with the Gospel. This is a result of your prayers
and giving. I wish that we could someway help them tobuild an inexpensive
building, so they no longer have to meet under a tree. Maybe the Lord would

have you to have some part in such a need.

I would ask you to continue praying for Ann. The heat and humidity
difficulties to her respiratory problem making it difficult to breathe. She has to
spend more time on oxygen. She is faithful in following doctor's orders and the
rehabilitation program of exercising to keep up her strength.  We are thankful for what the Lord does for her and for your prayers
